ONE of my favourite products, a lip mask, has been discontinued, so I have been looking for something to replace it once I run out.
Here are three of the best I have found, at every budget.
E.l.f. Cosmetics Holy Hydration! lip mask, £7 for 4.4g, elfcosmetics.co.uk: For the affordable price, I was pleasantly surprised that this came with a spatula for application as you normally only get one with more expensive products.
Still, it’s made of plastic, as is the pot, so while the functionality is there it still feels cheaper than the other two.
The formula itself is soft and silky, and despite the faint scent, it doesn’t irritate even cracked, chapped lips which can sometimes be a problem.
Despite how great the balm is, the size is absolutely tiny, so I can see it lasting a couple of months at best, which makes the bargain price worse value for money than the larger pots that cost slightly more initially.
Laneige lip sleeping mask, £19 for 20g, lookfantastic.com: This is probably the most famous lip mask on the market, and especially on social media.
There are six flavour variations in total, but my favourite is the original Berry.
I have no concrete proof, but I think it’s the most hydrating, and I’ve tried them all.
I love the tiny silicone applicator that comes with it, as you don’t contaminate the thick balm with your finger nail every time you go to apply.
The pot is also huge so it will probably last a year with daily use, and it’s sufficiently hydrating so you don’t need to use it more than once a day, which makes the price incredible value for money.
For that reason, this is definitely my favourite.
Tatcha The Kissu lip mask, £27 for 9g, tatcha.co.uk: As far as I’m concerned, skincare brand Tatcha can do no wrong.
I’m a huge fan of a number of their products, and this lip mask is the latest one on my must-haves list.
It’s stickier than the rest, which makes it stay put longer and gives a lovely glossy shine, but it’s something to keep in mind if you don’t like a tacky finish.
A little goes a really long way, so even though the pot is smaller than the Laneige mask, you need less each time so it’ll last almost as long.
Despite the slight-pink tint to the gel, it goes on basically clear so you can use it on top of lipstick without changing the colour.
It’s a big thumbs up from me. I just wish it came in a tube so it was more handbag friendly.
IT might be too early to mention the C word (Christmas) for some, but if you want to get the best bargains and bag the products that are likely to sell out this year, now is the time to get serious about shopping.
The Dyson Airwrap Multi-Styler, £479.99, is no doubt top of many wish lists, and this week the brand unveiled a new, limited edition Blue Blush colourway especially for the gifting season.

You’ll definitely score yourself top points come the big day.
